A Chicago-based home tech installer recently opened a second location in Fort Lauderdale's FAT Village neighborhood. Premium Home Systems moved into a 2,000-square-foot space at 721 N.E. 2nd Ave. on March 1. Premium installs home automation systems that can control lighting, cameras, shading, audio/visual systems, and other digital infrastructure, said the business' owner Todd Schneller. The company presently employs four people in Fort Lauderdale, but Schneller said the company is "always looking for project managers, installers, and tech networking people.
